We launched Tomokichi Studio

There are moments in everyday life when I think, “I wish this worked just a little better.”

It may not be a huge problem. Sometimes it is just a small inconvenience, or a simple thought that something like this would be nice to have.

Tomokichi Studio was created to take those small observations beyond the idea stage and turn them into things people can actually use and deliver them to users.

Turning small everyday observations into real products

So far, I have built a variety of things on my own, including websites and iOS apps.

They all have different purposes and designs, but looking back, many of them started from the same kind of thought: “I wish something like this existed.”

I do not want those ideas to stop at the idea stage. I want to build them, release them, and take them all the way to the point where someone can actually use them.

That process is something I want Tomokichi Studio to keep doing.

Starting with the person who will use it

Using new technology or adding more features is not the goal by itself.

What is the person using this actually looking for?

Where are they feeling friction, and what do they really need to solve it?

I want to start there, then find the simplest form that genuinely helps.

Even a small product can be worthwhile if it makes something a little easier, more convenient, or more enjoyable for the person using it.

Continuing as Tomokichi Studio

Until now, I thought of each thing I built as a separate personal project.

But as the number of projects grew, I realised they shared the same underlying idea: finding something in everyday life that could be better, shaping a solution, and getting it into the hands of users.

So I decided to give that activity itself a name: Tomokichi Studio.

Rather than building one thing and stopping there, I want to keep noticing small opportunities in everyday life and turning them into something useful, one by one.

I do not yet know exactly what Tomokichi Studio will become.

For now, it is a small activity run by one person. I want to grow it gradually by continuing to make things, learn from them, and record what I think along the way.

In this Journal, I plan to keep monthly and yearly reflections on the Studio, along with thoughts that come up while making and delivering things.

Small observations from everyday life, turned into something people can use.

This is where Tomokichi Studio begins.
